Pete’s main influences are John Bonham,
Cozy Powell, Ian Paice, Neil Peart and
Buddy Rich. He started drumming at 9 by
joining a junior jazz band, forming his first
rock group at 14, playing Quo, Lizzy and
Sabbath material.
Throughout the ‘80’s, he worked with
many local bands such as Bad Axe, Sundown,
Powerpack, Sacrilege, Karen and the Kittens
and many more, playing mainly rock and blues.
It was during this time he was in session and
recording work with various artists - one of the
most memorable being with Brian Connolly of
Sweet. The best time he had was touring the
USA in 1984 with a rock and blues outfit for
about six months, enjoying all the excesses of
“Good ole Rock ‘n’ Roll”....
Chris’ main influences are Geddy Lee, Chris
Squire, Neil Murray, John Jaques Burnell and
Stanley Clarke to name but a few. He first
started playing six string guitar at the age of 14.
A school band soon began to form and the last
vacancy was bass, so Hobson’s choice meant
he ended up with four strings rather than six.
At 18 he joined the rock group Sweet Tooth
which after a name change to No Tricks was his
home for some ten years or so. After extreme
touring, the band parted company and Chris
teamed up with brothers Chris and Dick Comerie
to form blues/rock outfit Fred Karno’s Army.
Another ten years honing his craft followed before
the band were forced to split and he joined Lurch
for a further six years.
